  • if i told you that i have atree which cut itself and made itself a boat and went to river,each morning it go fishing through river (without me) and get 5 kilo of fishes and return back to the same starting point ,it do that everyday (just the boat) will you believe me?
    if not and you say that is immpossible and need a maker
    why you say the universe dont need maker (God)?


  • mmmm... I am pretty sure those nice round polished pebbles you see out there on the river bed came there because a few years ago, lot of jobless guys were sitting and polishing some rocks when they were sitting on the boat with nothing else to do. Or it may be God you was sitting there doing it, because he was bored watching sep 11 updates or afganistan bombings. i don't know.

    i know the pebbles just happened. before that rocks happened. before that something else happened. before that something else. I would rather believe i don't understand what started it than believing in god who was sitting there polishing some rocks.


  • I would not believe your story about the tree, the boat and the fish. But that does not mean that I believe there had to be a "maker." You are using faulty logic to make your point.

    I believe that you are either simple (and someone is playing a trick on you) or you are a liar and think I'm gullible enough to believe your story.

    Investigation will probably show that there are tool marks on the boat (your God probably does not own tools) and that your neighbor goes to bed very early, catches the fish and returns the boat.

DNA is made from replicating molecules, these molecules exist because different types of atoms bond in certain ways to create both organic and non organic compounds which exist in abundence throughout the universe. these are created when a star ends its life. given the time and right conditions the organic molecules will bond in such a way that they will form self replicating entities, from then on evolution takes over. not a miracle, simple chemistry. for a tree to chop itself down and build itself into a boat is against the laws of nature, the emergence of life from pre-existing organic molecules is not.
    2. do you deny the universe is expanding, there are plenty of sources to confirm it is, look them up. once you've established the universe is expanding, then run it backwards and what happens, it all ends up in one place and at that point gravity would have condensed it into a sub microscopic singularity. the singularity does not have to be sitting there for ever, it could have started 'inflating' as soon as it came into being. the fact that it did violently inflate is verified by the cosmic background microwave radiation, which was predicted by the 'big bang' theory and subsequently found.
    why did it expand, no one needed to set it into motion, just look up higgs fields, too complicated to explain here. where did the singularity come from. you can slip your god in here if you want, because this is the only place it has a probability of fitting, but then it is still only blind conjecture and science can generate many more plausable explanations draw from the explicit nature of this universe and its mathematical structure, such as brane collision, or quantum vacuum fluctuation. these are not groundless guesses and therefore more probable than the god hypothesis which is the least likely explanation.

    the analogy you used to try and discredit a scientifically based explanation for the existance of the universe and life is very poor and it is used by creationist who do not know or understand science or who use it to decieve others who do not.

  • Bad analogy. We know boats are man-made objects. You just ASSUME that humans aren't naturally occuring creatures. The physical evidence is stacked against you.

  • I hear this argument rehashed all the time. Inanimate objects don't have self replicating mechanisms and therefore are not subject to evolutionary forces. Can't you see the difference? It's obvious.
