If you were a billionaire how much would you spend on your house ?

  • $2.7 million, plus a part-time gardener, maid, and maintenance person. Oh, and a special assistant to get my dry cleaning, groceries, and do other errands. I wouldn't need a cook because I'd spend my time cooking and baking. Maybe I'd hire a driver so I could read during trips to various vacation destinations. LOL.

    But $2.7 million in central-Iowa or West Virginia spends better than $2.7 million in San Diego, or Miami. Maybe I'd end up with four, $2.7 million dollar homes?


  • Money isn't everything, I would have a small home in the woods, by a stream.


  • lol i dont no i would just get wateva da hell i wanted my house would be huge(or maybe i would need a island lol :P) and random as in each room would have a different them and it would be Fabulous i could right it all down but it would take to long and take up ALOT pace on here and alot of ur time lol

  • Wow. I would tear out all my carpeting, and put down beautiful bamboo floors. New windows, new sliding door, new deck, new front steps, a walkway, a paved driveway, new fixtures, new sofa, new dining room set, finish basement, new washer, dryer, remodel kitchen, remodel both bathrooms, new doors inside and out, new shrubs outside, outdoor lighting. That's it. Then, I'd buy a new car for each of my kids, and a new one for me!


  • i think most people would agree that is more about location ... and there is correlation between a desirable location and the price of that house.

    but for shits and giggles.. if i was a billionaire, i think 10mil would get me the house and location i wanted :)


  • If you were a billionaire, people would always be bugging you for donations and handouts. I would buy an expensive enough area to be protected from crazies!

  • I wouldn't have a set min/max in mind. I would make a list of everything I wanted in a house and either look for one with everything or have one built.

    If I were a billionaire, I'd like to REMAIN a billionaire. I just need somewhere cozy to go.
