  • I've been going through this problem a couple of times, if i use the javascript way to embed the swf file on to my site, it works great on Firefox, but in Internet Explorer it doesn't load it.

    [ i got flash 9 installed on both IE and Firefox ]

    Ive tried various times but it doesnt work.

    Let me know if there are any solutions out there for this activex control or if theres a better way to js the embedding.

  • Just download the extension from here:

    http://www.adobe.com/support/flash/downloads.html#flash8

    install the .mxp file and everything will work fine.


  • I can personally vouch for the Javascript method that REEF posted, even though you don't like it. If you do it properly, it will function in all browsers. If you have problems with it, there is a more recent version of the file (http://blog.deconcept.com/swfobject/).

  • Yeah I was originally working with the deco one but it didnt show at all on IE. i might to go through it again, i might made a mistake.
